Description of event

A “monastery source” told RFA that Tenzin Gyatso had been urging Tibetans not to celebrate Chinese New Year ; but to observe the date of traditional Tibetan New Year (Losar). Residents reportedly heard sirens and saw multiple police vehicles moving toward the area where Tenzin Gyatso’s room was located. Belongs to Labrang Tashikyil Monastery
