Yonten Gyatso, 37-year-old senior monk Yonten Gyatso was arrested in October 2011 for sharing information about protests inside Tibet.Yonten Gyatso was detained at a military camp for sharing information about Tenzin Wangmo, a nun who set herself on fire on 17 October 2011. He was sentenced to seven years imprisonment for simply emailing information about events in Tibet to the outside world.He was also accused of attempting to share information by making telephone calls to United Nations' human rights offices.
