On December 2, 2009, officials in Lhasa city, the TAR capital, Detained4 Tibetan residents of Suo (Sog) county, Naqu (Nagchu) prefecture, while they were in Lhasa. Norbu Zangpo and nun Choedron traveled to Lhasa to bring food to Tenzin Dargye and Tsanden Monastery monk Yeshe Jinpa, who were performing Buddhist prostrations at the Jokhang Temple. Tenzin Dargye had been Sentenced at a previous (unspecified) time to 3 years in prison for shouting pro-independence slogans, and nun Choedron had paid a large sum of money to secure his release.
