Description of event

Tsering Dhondup was among six Tibetans arrested in connection with a demonstration in Lhasa in March 1988, during which a Chinese police officer was killed. He was accused alongside Lobsang Tenzin, who was identified as the principal instigator in the case.

On January 19, 1989, the Lhasa People’s Intermediate Court sentenced Tsering Dhondup to 10 years of imprisonment for his alleged involvement in the incident.
