The Chinese security forces detained two monks from Labrang Monastery on 14 May 2009 during a raid in their residences and their whereabouts remain unknown to their family members till date. The two were detained for the fourth time since last year’s protests in Labrang which saw one of the biggest and most sustained protests ; according to information received by the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD).
