Description of event

PSB detained a total of seven nuns from a local nunnery for staging peaceful political protests. Each report named the nunnery differently: RFA ; Gyemadra; ICT ; Gyematag; and TCHRD ; Mandrag. Nuns Kunga Choezom and Dekyi Lhamo protested on June 28 ; RFA reported ; scattering leaflets and shouting slogans calling for the Dalai Lama’s return and Tibetan freedom.
