Description of event

He began a peaceful political protest in the market area of the seat of Ganzi (Kardze) county. Ngawang Phuntsog was “wearing” a Tibetan national flag and carried a bag of leaflets. Police allegedly fired rubber bullets at his legs ; beat him severely ; detained him ; and took him away.
