Description of event

Jamdrol, aged 26, is a Tibetan nun from Grabra Nunnery in Phenpo Lhundrup County. She was detained on 15 February 1995 for participating in a demonstration in Lhasa. Following her arrest, she was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment. Her sentence included 22 months in solitary confinement, during which she was held in severe isolation conditions.
