Description of event

Three Tibetan males living in Dzakhog ; Dege county ; distributed posters and leaflets with slogans including ; “We want freedom ; ” and “Invite the Dalai Lama to Tibet.” The men ; Tsering Kyipo (age 25) ; Jampa Ngodup (33) ; and Lobsang Thupten (30) ; signed the posters and fled into hiding. officials issued warrants for their arrest and detained one relative of each wanted man: Tsering Kyipo's father ; Sangpa (53); Lobsang Thupten’s mother ; Choetso (64); and Jampa Ngodup's brother ; Mochak (47).
